Welcome To The New America.
A few days ago, a public official called me over to his car to discuss his displeasure with the war in Iraq and the way the Bush administration is handling the nation's economy. This well-respected man would talk only from his vehicle, saying he was fearful of criticizing the president or his policies in public.
Construction of prison camps for dissenters, commies, homos, "illegal" immigrants and various other undesirables is already under way and due to be completed by Jan 2005.

The Making Of An Iraqi Guerrilla.
Beyond individual accounts, the origins of the anti-American guerrilla war are obscure. US officials and officers have long blamed the remnants of Saddam Hussein's Baathist regime. They have also begun speculating about the possibility that "foreign fighters" or even Al Qaeda are participating in the Iraqi resistance.
Some Art Stuff.
I've been experimenting with a new style recently and I thought I might share some of the results with you, my lovely readers (except you, you bastard! You know who you are! Fuck You!!!) I've only done self portraits so far, which I think I'll stick to. I like doing self portraits (narcissistic maybe? Eh, whatever.)
Click on the image if you want to get a better look at one of them.
Click here to see the image.
That second one is actually the cover of the demo I'm currently trying to record on this shitty computer with this shitty microphone and shitty sound card (I got good speakers though!) I added a little black on the right because I'm not fond of square pictures for some reason, don't ask me why.
I've got a few more that I'd like to post, but I don't want to eat up a lot of bandwidth in one sitting (I've got too many images on this damn site anyway!) So, they'll have to wait until a later date.
I'd use the other Mad Prophet site to share the rest of 'em, seeing as it has unlimited bandwidth and all, but for some reason Host Department won't let me login to upload any updates to the site. Fucking bastards.
At least the fucking site's still there though. "Always look on the bright side of life!"

Holy Shit! Why Isn't This Getting More Coverage?
The Taliban gained complete control of one of the Afghan provinces along the Pakistani border five days ago. The province of Zabul lies between Kandahar and Kabul, making it of strategic importance.
And I'm only hearing about this now? I guess the power outage and the California recall are bigger, more important news.
Thanks to Skippy.
Thank You For Deregulating!
Greg Palast is always fun (and educating,) to read:
I can tell you all about the ne're-do-wells that put out our lights tonight. I came up against these characters -- the Niagara Mohawk Power Company -- some years back. You see, before I was a journalist, I worked for a living, as an investigator of corporate racketeers. In the 1980s, "NiMo" built a nuclear plant, Nine Mile Point, a brutally costly piece of hot junk for which NiMo and its partner companies charged billions to New York State's electricity ratepayers.

The Worst Figures In American History: Scoobie's List.
Cruised by Scoobie Davis' place a couple of minutes ago, because I haven't been there in awhile, and found his Worst 20 list. All the standards are on there, but there are some notable entries:
Harry Anslinger, the first Drug Czar, also known as The Father of the Drug War, who collaborated with Hearst and DuPont to criminalize a mostly harmless plant due to its emmense industrial potential. Another one I didn't think of.
Henry Wirz, the only Confederate soldier to be tried and executed for War Crimes.
And Scoobie also recognized Sun Myung Moon, which I explained earlier was a strange absence from the main list considering Richard Mellon Scaife made it.

Who's A Nazi Scumbug?
John Osterlind's a Nazi scumbag!
WRKO-AM morning man John Osterlind aka "Ozone"' was sent into the Ozone for two weeks by station suits yesterday after he called for "the eradication of the Palestinian people.'"
A two week suspension and [maybe] lost pay? Anyone else think this is a petty slap on the wrist for advocating genocide?
And listen to what the Program Director said:
Elder said he thinks that "in the battle of the moment," Ozone didn't give much thought to what he was advocating.
Didn't give much thought? Battle of the moment? Fuck you. Imagine, in the heat of an arguement with a pro-Israeli nutball, that someone like me (I can't think of any media personalities that are pro-Palestinian,) came out and said "all the Jews need to be eradicated." Yeah, this would be major news and a two week suspension would be met with howls and around the clock protests.
And what's this shit about "comes close to endorsing genocide"? The guy "called for 'the eradication of the whole Arab race.' " That doesn't come close, that is an endorsement of genocide! Fucking Nazi Bastards.

Gulf War II Syndrome.
Contrary to the "pneumonia" and "mystery illness" labels, enlightening information surfaced today on "THE POWER HOUR" radio show (www.thepowerhour.com) in an interview with Mark Neusche, father of Josh Neusche, one of the GW II troops to lose his life from the "mystery illness" while serving in Iraq. The father stated that his 20-year-old healthy son, a former track star and non-smoker, had written home on June 26th explaining that he would be going on a 30-hour "hauling" mission, but that he could not disclose what they would be hauling. The son had stated that he had been to the Palace of Saddam Hussein, and it was later learned that he was "hauling" at the Baghdad Airport.
What They Mean When They Say "No One Seriously Injured."
My son-in-law is in Ward 57 at Walter Reed. Lost his right leg to an RPG attack--the press is ignoring the number of injuries--especially amputees.

The Case Of The Disappearing WMD.
FAIR has a rundown of the hunt for Weapons of Mass Distruction in Iraq, and the culpability of the US Media in the whole sordid affair. It's good to be reminded of these things, especially when the whores are trying to spin things the way they have been recently.
Just Another Day Under A Vindictive, Authoritarian Regime.
Faith Fippinger, a retired American schoolteacher who went to Iraq as a human shield, faces up to 12 years in prison for refusing to pay $10,000 in fines levied against her by the federal government for violating US sanctions by going to Iraq.
In her response to the charges, she wrote the government that "if it comes to fines or imprisonment, "please be aware that I will not contribute money to the United States government to continue the buildup of its arsenal of weapons." Since she won't pay, she said, "perhaps the alternative should be considered."
The woman's got balls (pardon the expression.) If only there were more like her.

The Worst Figures In American History.
Check out the Left-Wing Bloggers Select The 20 Worst Figures In American History over at Right Wing News, which I was honored to participate in. Many fine Lefty bloggers answered John Hawkins' call and the results are interesting.
McCarthy and Nixon topped the list, with 26 and 25 votes respectively. I thought Reagan would be up there too, but he was back in 13th place with only 9 votes, which is weird since he kinda kicked off this whole Right-Wing movement we find ourselves in today.
Some of the names I don't think should be on the list due to the fact that they are contemporary and therefore aren't actually history yet, but what the hell, they'll be on the list eventually. (But why would anyone put Charlie Manson on the list? Sure, it was big news at the time, but it hardly had an impact on the history of our country.)
And I was sad to see that many of my names didn't make it, included mass murderer and terrorist Harry Truman, centrist corporate whores disguised as liberals Al Gore and Bill Clinton, economic idiot Herbert Hoover, or any of the fucking asshole Robber Barons (except for William Randolph Hearst, who I didn't think of for some reason.)
I also found it weird that Richard Mellon Scaife made the list, but Sun Myung Moon didn't (though I didn't put either on my list because they're both contemporary.)

The Defense Of Traditional Marriage Act.
A good Tom the Dancing Bug cartoon this week. It makes you realize what the Christian Right is really trying to do.
Sixteen Words My Ass.
What about all of these.
"[...] there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction." - Dick Cheney, 8-26-02
The list goes on and on.
How can anyone have any doubt that these whores knowingly lied to get us into this war?

This is absolutely fucking hilarious. I can't explain it, you just have to see for yourself. It's a flash animation, that's all I can tell you.
Major props to whoever made it.
And thanks to Max for pointing it out.
